About me: My name is James McAllister. I am currently a student studying finance and business. I am the youngest of 5 children in a family that I absolutely love. I grew up in Provo, Utah, and I have spent most of my life living within the state. In February 2008, I left the U.S. to serve as a full time LDS Missionary to preach the gospel in Santiago and Rancagua Chile. I returned home 2 years later after having completed my service honorably. Before I left for Chile, I held various jobs while I owned and managed my own business as an Event Planner. I organized fund raisers, birthday parties, college dances, and other themed parties. I have also always been involved in all sorts of other activities, from sports to musical groups. I am a film lover and I appreciate the creativity that goes into this entertaining artform. To describe myself in one word, it would be "surprising." I have always considered myself a very average person, someone that blends into the crowd. However, when a friend takes a closer look, they always seem surprised at what I have accomplished under the circumstances I have been given and also at my level of performance when I am dedicated to a project. I excell above my peers, yet I don't fit the profile of someone who does. |
